Anti-Ragging Committee – Pachamuthu Group of Institutions
Pachamuthu Group of Institutions strictly adheres to UGC regulations and maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging in any form. The Anti-Ragging Committee is established to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students on campus.
Objectives of the Committee
- To prohibit, prevent, and eliminate any form of ragging on campus.
- To ensure awareness among students regarding the consequences of ragging.
- To provide a platform for students to report incidents confidentially.
- To take immediate and appropriate disciplinary action against offenders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular awareness programs and orientation sessions.
- Display anti-ragging guidelines prominently across campus.
- Monitor student interactions, especially during the initial weeks of the academic session.
- Maintain a grievance redressal mechanism for affected students.
Composition
The committee consists of senior faculty members, administrative staff, student representatives, and local authorities. It functions under the supervision of the Head of Institution.
Reporting & Support
Students are encouraged to report any incident of ragging without fear of retaliation. The committee ensures that all complaints are handled sensitively and with full confidentiality.
