Admission Details


Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) – 6 Years:

Eligibility: +2 pass with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, and either Biology (Botany & Zoology) or Mathematics.
Minimum Marks: 40% for SC/ST/SCA/SCC, 45% for others.
  • The qualifying examination must include English as one of the core subjects.
  • Accepted qualifications include: 10+2 Academic stream in Science, Intermediate Science, Pre-Degree Examination, First Year of a 3-Year Degree in Science, or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
  • Minimum age: The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
  • Admission is usually based on merit in the qualifying examination or as per norms laid down by the affiliating university or state authorities.
  • The institution and course must be approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to be eligible for registration and practice as a clinical pharmacist.

Admission Procedure

Admissions to all pharmacy programs are conducted as per the norms prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The process involves the following steps:

  1. Application Submission: Candidates must submit the college application form along with required academic and identity documents, either online or directly at the admission office.
  2. Eligibility Verification:
    • Higher Secondary (+2) pass in Science stream with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, and Biology or Mathematics as one of the subjects.
    • Applicants from other states must produce an Eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
    • International applicants must submit a Migration Certificate and Recognition Certificate issued by the university.
  3. Document Submission:
    • Original Transfer Certificate from the last attended institution.
    • Mark Sheets of qualifying examinations.
    • Community Certificate (if applicable).
    • Recent passport-size photographs.
  4. Selection Process: Admission is based on the merit of marks secured in the qualifying examination and adherence to government reservation norms. Separate quotas are available for Physically Challenged and Sports candidates (priority for National/State level achievers).
  5. Fee Payment: Selected candidates must pay the full tuition and admission fees within the prescribed date. Students admitted mid-term are also required to pay the full term fee.
  6. Final Admission Confirmation: Admission is confirmed only after document verification, fee payment, and university registration. Any candidate found to have submitted false documents will be summarily dismissed without refund.
  7. Withdrawal & Transfer Certificate: Students wishing to leave the college after admission may apply for a Transfer Certificate, which will be issued if fees are fully paid.

Every student is expected to uphold high standards of discipline and decorum both within and outside the campus. Conduct that compromises the reputation and values of the institution will not be tolerated.

  • Any student found indulging in malpractice during end-semester theory or practical examinations will face strict disciplinary action as per university regulations.
  • Students are expected to demonstrate respect and responsibility towards faculty, administrative staff, and peers at all times.
  • The institution promotes a culture of integrity, discipline, and ethical behavior. Students failing to adhere to these values will be subject to corrective measures.
  • Acts considered as indiscipline include—but are not limited to—ragging, eve teasing, disrupting classroom activities, or interfering with the academic environment of others.
  • Any action that harms the physical or emotional well-being of students or staff will be treated as a serious violation.
  • Misconduct during examinations, or submission of false information or documents at the time of admission, will result in disqualification and disciplinary action.
