D.G.N.M. (Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery)

Short Description: D.G.N.M. is a three and a half year diploma course followed by a six-month internship, focused on training students in patient care, hospital management, and healthcare services. It provides practical knowledge and clinical exposure essential for nursing careers. Pachamuthu College of Nursing offers this program to create competent and compassionate nursing professionals. Scope: Diploma holders can work as Staff Nurses, Health Visitors, Nursing Tutors, or Hospital Administrators. They also have pathways for higher studies like Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and career options abroad.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc Nursing: Completion of +2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology as core subjects. D.G.N.M. (Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery): Completion of 10+2 with Science Group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or +2 with Mathematics, or +2 from Vocational Groups related to Health/Science streams.
